01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

For a bowl that brings together the savoury depth of pork-bone broth and the distinct flavour of niboshi—dried sardines—Natsumi’s niboshi pork-bone ramen is one to consider. Some diners have enjoyed the rich broth with thin noodles; others chose thick noodles and remembered their springy texture. Reviews also describe the niboshi flavour as bold. The ramen comes with a regular portion of 150g, or a medium portion of 200g for an additional 50 yen.

If you want more noodles after finishing your bowl, you can add a seasoned extra serving known as aemono-dama. It is available with or without meat, so you can choose a lighter extra or one with meat. Alongside the niboshi pork-bone ramen, the menu includes soy-sauce and salt ramen, as well as tsukemen served with a rich chicken, pork and seafood broth. The tsukemen comes in several portion sizes, from 180g for a regular serving to 480g for an extra-large one, making it easy to choose how much you want.

Natsumi is in Akabane 1-chome and offers takeaway as well as dine-in service. Payment is cash only, so plan accordingly.
